But rather I wonder how they will hold after two or three more session like that. Thanks again!

After talking to the Megan engineers, I am going to leave these on for now "as is" (for more abuse) and just bleed the air and burnt fluid out of them.

The rotors and calipers look very good still (especially considering what I put them through). There is a slight discoloring on the rear caliper stickers from the crazy heat, but the rotors look great, there is no heat marks on them or pad/rotor glazing, or signs of excess wear and heat.

What pads are you using with then and where can we find replacments?

this is very good to hear. i am going to be a gunea pig and try the D2 8-piston setup (front only) hopefully before 2007 rolls around. of course, i will be doing track day events on them to see how they hold up. thanks for a great write up

yes, I also would like to know about the pads, as the PADS are really the issue in terms of fade. The pad can make or break a good set of calipers, as anyone will tell you. Hell, I had wilwoods on my old sentra and they had EBC greenstuffs, and those pads were HORRIBLE.....didn't matter how good the calipers were.

I hear you, and so far so good on all Megan Racing products I have tried for them so far. (and I am known for being pretty picky and very hard on stuff)

i know everybody is going to flame over the test pipes... but i had them for 15k miles absolutely no problems... ..maybe some might be hitting some bumps on the road or something, or salt on the road is "eatin" the welds and making them fail.... who knows...
their coil overs.. altough they are not the best, they can easily compare and if not get better than tein basics
I am seriously looking int o buyin this brakes soon.. I will most likely change the color the calipers though

Bump, want to hear if anyone else has these brakes yet and their impressions. A name means nothing to me, I want to hear about results. Thanks for your review scott!
I will be buying a BBK in the next week and am doing my research
Edit: BTW, I have megan coilovers on my Z and am completely satisfied!

a BBK does not have a significant difference in stopping distances relatively speaking - tires reduce stopping distances (we well as the weight of the car). Sounds counter intuitive I know, but it's true.
There are ALOT of factors to consider when selecting a big brake kit - even if you don't end up buying a set of theirs, read the Stoptech tutorial, as they hit on every point. From there, do your research, and you'll see why some are worth having and some are not.

Having owned several BBK's on many cars going back to the mid 90's, I can attest that one of the most important factors (IMHO) is having a wide variety of pads to choose from and having dust boots in the caliper/quick access to replacement parts. With some brake kits, that's an easy task. With others...not so much.
