Stance Coilovers - Suggestions Please
Thanks to Rishie at Auto RnD I am now the proud owner for a set of Stance coilovers. I would like to get some suggestions on ride height. It's not my daily driver and I do plan on tracking it a few times a year. My initial thought was 1.2" in the front and 1.5" in the rear as a starting point. Also, any suggestions for dampening?
Also:
1. I don't care to much about negative camber. From what I have read anything over a 1" drop will provide enough negative camber to abnormally wear the tires. (oh yeah I bought a set of the Nitto Neogen tires, which are designed for cars with negative camber)
2. I really don't want to damage my car over speed bumps
3. I live in Houston so the roads suck a$$
4. I do want exceptional handling and an agressive look
I am gonna attempt the install myself. I have not done any suspension work before so it should be fun . I found this to be the closest tutorial available, since the Stance directions don't come with any pics. http://www.*********.com/zwiki/Sprin...n_%28Eibach%29
haha I guess I am not allowed to link to other forum sites... how lame
Thanks for you help!!!

Before you make the install, can you get measurements. I forgot to get measurement and now i dont have any numbers to play with.
But mine is dropped wherein i have about a finger space front and back.
Ive scraped the cats once on a really high speedbump the otherday, but otherwise im fine.

Yeah, you can go pretty low with these without too many problems. The first time I lowered it I didn't measure anything out and the car was perfect in the rear, no gap between the tire and fender, and the fronts were just slammed. The cool thing was the ride was still very good and the tire only rubbed when the wheel was turned all the way. I just raised the front up a little today so now its even all the way around. And its a perfect ride except for the annoying end links making noise.

so after about 50 miles on the coilovers i have a loud knocking sound coming from the passenger side. I think it's the front but not certain. this sucks! I was very careful installing everything and made sure everything was torqued down to specs.

OK all you stance guys check your nuts.....
the top nut on the shock. it was way loose. tightened it and its all good. something i did not check before/during install. so i learned something new :-) i think someone else had that problem, so make sure you check it if you are encountering noise.
