Default Which break pads should i get

I am looking for a high performance pad street/track that has low dust low noise and a good amount of grip. I have a non brembo model anyone know what a good choice would be? I was thinking hawk or project mu.

Go with the hawks. Probably one of the best bang for the buck pads.

no such thing as a track pad that is low noise and low dust

you have to be honest with yourself as to how much street vs how much track, and when you do track, what type of events you're running.

I had the Hawk pads on my Z. Changed them outmyself. at least 50% less dust than the stock pads. Felt about the same as the stocks but I never tracked them.

Hawks have much less dust but are pretty loud pads. I would take Project Mu.

I'm going to run project mu on the track in a week, i'll tell you how those hold up. i've burned my stock pairs over 5 or 6 track days.

you want the ones that break cleanly... the brakes tend to break at weird places, not at all uniform.

try bricks? or precut lumber.

If you buy hawk, check Raceshopper.com they seem to have the best prices.

Hawks are terrific, and for the price, cannot be beat ($120 shipped for front and rear for non brembo calipers). Once properly installed and broken in, they will not make noise. Many people either do not use the backing plates, do not use anti squeal, or do not break them in. Any pad has the potential for noise if these steps are not taken.

Endless Vita Nueova are another great pad as well
