Default trouble with hotchkis installation

I just bought the hotchkis springs and sways (with koni sports) and installed them myself. I went out for a test drive and the car handles wayyyyy better now.
But I think I compressed my springs way too much cause now it's making thumping noises in the front when I go over bumps. I can barely get my finger through the coils on the springs. So now I have to take the front shock/spring assemblies back off and retract the strut tower nut to decompress the springs.
Also, the front end is sitting nearly an inch higher now than the rear. It doesn't matter which way you install the front springs does it? Thanks.

hmm, when you install new springs/struts, sometimes until they settle you are going to have wierd noises. did you seat the springs correctly?

are you sure you installed the front springs on the front and the rear on the rear?

you cannot compress the springs too much - they end up where they end up. There are only so many threads on the strut shaft - they cannot be overtightened

Yes I put the springs on correctly, I went by the model numbers on the spring. What do you mean by "seating the springs correctly?"
