here is my pic of my 2006 350z
megans coilovers on stock 18" wheels
keep in mind i did this Friday night 12/26/06 took 4 hours
since then i have removed the entire trunk , spare tire, jack , carpet , padding , insulation, fastening hardware that attaches spare and jack to trunk floor , preping for trunk audio build
maybe that stuff is about 50 pounds
also gas tank is on empty since last Friday ,and holds about 20 gallons x 8 pounds per
160 pounds in gas
so with a full tank of gas and a spare , jack etc car would have 200 pounds in trunk and rear would sit lower which is how it was Friday night when i 1st lowered it , and at that time you could not put 1 finger between the top of the rear tire and the bottom of the wheel well
when i install my amps, box, sub, and battery it will replace the 200 pounds and car will sit about 1.5" lower in rear

i just gambled with the megans as far as how low it would go
since i had no experience with coil overs
always used just front and rear springs to lower my impalas
i wanted to spend about $1000 delivered so i looked at what was available in that price range , and made my best educated guess
it has 32 levels of dampning
$1050 delivered
4 hour install but i was tired and fooling around alot
and you can adjust from as high as factory height , to were i have mine now at the lowest
rides great
so it looks like Stance and JIC-FLTA2's offer the lowest drop so far, all these cars look great, thanks for helping me try and find the right coilover! Anyone with different set-ups out there? doesnt have to be a coilover, just gotta be LOW

not for nothing but i just sold my Impala , and sent it TFX Transport to my buyer in Canada , he called me and said to low to drive there , and he is swapping the sprint springs that are in it now 2" f & 3"r for hotchkis which is a 1.5" mild drop f & r
and my z is lower than the Impala
so be careful how low you go , considering were you live
Ya the roads here are pretty brutal. But i used to have a dropped rsx, so i got used to avoiding the 2 feet deep potholes!...and i dont drive it in the winter.

thanks for the heads up though!! where does the guy you sold your impala too, live?
