Default HKS Hipermax RS + Hotchkis sways

I just got them installed on my G35 coupe and I hear popping sounds in the back. Could it be due to the stiffness the sways introduced? Heard something about it being the crossmember.

Also, Today when turning onto the driveway, I heard the sound of a spring driver's side. I don't think that's supposed to happen. What could be wrong.

Not sure.. but if I set them to settings 17/30 - 26/30, I get squeaking sounds over any uneven surface.. if anyone has any experience with these coilovers please chime in...

From my little knowledge of coilovers from my other car:
Spring sound (binding sound?) could be too much pre-tension set on the spring- try loosening the collar a little. Also, it's a good idea to wait a few days for everything to settle before making changes. I installed some coilovers for a 4.5" ride height, came back the next day and the car was 3.5" off the ground! Definitely wait a little while to get it aligned for the same reason.

I saw a video clip of a car with binding sound and confirmed that that is the sound that I've been hearing... So basically does this mean that my HKS Hipermax RS is raised too high?
it binds randomly though... many times it doesn't bind when i put alot of stress on one side of the car(cornering hard), and often times I hear the binding sound when going in a straight line or turning slightly....

The sound is from the metal top mount contacting the body and making noise. Some other coil-overs have this same issue. I think you can get some thin rubber and cut it the proper shape and make some DIY gaskets.

I have the RS's with the clunking but, it doesnt bother me. If you search you will see that some people fixed it with gaskets on top of the metal mounts.

My RS's are silent...they should not make noise, nor should rubber be needed anywhere

I read the installation manual again and could it be that the installer forgot to bend the installation tabs on the chasis as directed by the instructions and it comes into contact with the lls of the rear ride height adjustment collar?
