Tokico Spring Reviews
Has anyone posted reviews of the Tokico springs yet? I have read many threads of people who were considering the spring/shock combo, but none have reviewed this setup.
Reason I ask is because I finally decided on suspension after your good input (purchased Koni Yellows and then Tokico D-Specs shortly thereafter in a moment of Parts Acquisition Syndrome weakness ). I have the Konis on now with Espelir Active GT springs. They are actually a pretty good spring for daily driving, and the front/rear drop is mild but not too mild…just the way I like it. Problem is that I want a stiffer linear spring for autoX/track duty, so I am looking for a change. Good springs I researched with acceptable rates (Hotchkis for instance, are too soft for the rear – and sold out everywhere to boot) are the Swift Sport Mach and Tom Motorsports (I cant find these anywhere). The Tokico linear springs have 375 front and rear rates, which are mildly stiffer than stock. Just wondering how these might do for me.

problem is Tokico does not sell the spring seperately - some vendors buy the compete kits and sell the spring seperate from the strut, but it's not how Tokico packages them

The best performance spring you can buy for the Z at this time for the performance minded (not counting the Nismo T2 springs, which have a limited market given their specs). I had them on my car with Koni's to test. The test wasn't quite what I had wished for, by and large do to the Koni's inabilty to adjust stiffer on compression (they can only adjust for rebound control). Teamed with D-specs and set to at least 5 turn's off of full soft, they would be a very nice setup. Only other setup that comes to mind would would be better as in a shock and spring would be Tom Motorsport sleave coilovers, not fair because they really aren't a "spring" setup.
Btw, I bought my D-spec springs from the one retailer that does sell the springs by themselves.
