the squish is normal...it's a function of the shock design

well i dont need anything for the street. the Z is garaged most of the time. i'm asking more if these coilovers will be sufficient for track days and eventually some time attacks and races. having the option to get a comfortable ride is always a HUGE plus.

Well I am no expert in coilovers, but I do autocross a lot and I have mine set to 4/5 and i consider the ride quite stiff, yet its dampened well. I think that a 5/5 setting would be very stiff and would work quite well for road/track days.

The springrates on these are 12kg/10kg so they are pretty stiff.

thanks, i'll strongly consider these when it's time to upgrade suspension. currently, im running stock and the car handles fine as is. i've learned to change my driving rather than the car.

the spring rates on the Cusco's are 10 kg/mm front, and 7 kg/mm rear.

Thats where I purchased mine so I was under the impression the rates were the rates posted/advertised.

Z1 (Adam) is correct and PerformanceNissan's site is incorrect. Cusco Zero 1 and 2 for the Z33 have spring rates of 10Kg/7Kg.

i am a little confused i have been intrested in the cusco zero 2's for a while now and i was just waiting till i can get the sways and coils and spc rear camber kit at the same time(already have cusco front just not installed). do i want to get the pillowball mount or do i want the rubbermount. i wasnt aware there was a choice. my car isnt daily driven anymore so i dont know if that has anything to do with it. any help would be greatly appriciated and thanks in advance.

I'd recommend the rubber mount version. I've run both on my own car and I found the pillows on these coils too harsh for everyday use. As a result, we have not brought in a set of pillow ones in a while now, just non pillow versions

Bump from the dead-GREAT info. I have been researching these, and was concerned about the pillowball being noisy. I was under the impression that they were quieter usually. Too bad these are on back order right now

Any other Cusco owners have noises with the PB version???

every Cusco owner with the pillowballs will get the noise...it's a fact of life. We've probably sold 90% of the units that people have in the country, and every one has ended up swapping to the std. points. For this reason, neither we, nor Cusco, even stocks the pillowball version - it's simply not worth any potential hassle, and offers no plausible performance benefit
