Default Cusco Coilover Install and results - many pics! 56k no

The install went well. Took around 3.5 hours. My girlfriend and I tackled the fronts, and then a friend showed up and helped out with the rears.

Impressions: These coils are dampened very well. SO much better dampening than my OEM struts. No noise on the coilovers, and they are very tight feeling and inspire a lot of confidence in the corners driving on the edge of traction. These also eliminated my wheel hop. I am very satisfied.

Currently I have them set on 4/5 on all corners, its a very stiff ride, but dampened well. I think I will keep them there for now.

On to the pics! Click on them for larger pics!

Hi Jessica!

Old springs/struts

OEM strut/spring gone!

New coilover in!

Workin on it

ooooo adjustment!

Fronts done and down!

Holy camber!

Another look

New rear equipment

Old rear strut versus new rear strut

Rear stuff gone!

Aaron looking amazed

New rear stuff installed!

All old stuff!

Rear coils in and dropped.

I love the new lower look. coupled with the handling its amazing. These coilovers can go a lot lower, and a little bit higher.

Thanks Performance Nissan for a great deal on these!

Nice, which ones are they - Zero-1 or Zero-2? Is this car a daily driver?

Good job, it looks nice. The Cusco's are one of my favorites for coil-overs. Top notch.

hope you guys got the non pillowball versions, or I guarantee you'll be replacing mounts within the next 6-8 months...the pillowballs on those make a racket over time unfortunately

I will see how far off it is after I get an alignment. If its way too far off, then yes I am going to have to. If its not too bad then not right now. This car isnt my daily driver and will be using r-compounds for autocross that love and were made for lots of camber.

To adjust the height do you have to remove the wheels on those coilovers?

to adjust height on any coilovers the wheels should come off - makes it infinitely easier

agreed. you could probably do it between the spokes of the GT-C's, but you would have to definitely contort your arm to work around.... probably would take just as long to take the wheel off...

Right, just sucks if your trying to eye each side to sit the exact same with the wheels on.. I guess you could set a measure point on the coils... I'll probably get these coming soon.

would you recommend this for a strictly track set up? i'm looking into their sway bars and deciding on a coilover to go with too.

nah, you could run these on the street just fine, just set them to soft. but they do stiffen up very nicely if you like.

Cool

How long have you had these on now? You have rubber mounts instead of pillowball mounts? Do they "squish" going over speed bumps? How low are you?

I have the same setup as you but I have pillowball fronts and hard rubber rears... I have about 7000 miles on them and they just recently started to "squish"...

Here is a pic of mine...

I have rubber mounts, and they have around 500-1000 miles on them now and no noises yet!
