Default swapping stock brakes for different year or model

sorry for the bad question but: (and these all pertain to the NON brembo brake setups)

does anyone know if:

- the calipers on the G35 fit with no modification onto the Z

- different year cars (03-06) mount differently

- if the master cylinder in the G35 is different from the Z

- if the master cylinder changed for different years in the Z

and has anyone actually swapped any of the following: (again, NON brembo swaps)

- 06 brakes from a 350z onto a earlier year Z (03 preferably)

- any year G35 brakes onto any year 350z

thanks!

Okay here goes. As far as I know the master cylinder is the same on all years except for the new '07 Sedan (I'm just assuming here that the new '07 sedan has a different MC). The '03-'04 non-Brembo G35 Coupes, the '03-'04 G35 Sedan, the '04-'05 G35x, and the '03'-05 non-Brembo Z have the same 11.x" brakes. The '05-'06 G35 Sedan, '06 G35x, '05-'07 G35 Coupes, and '06-'07 350Z have the upgraded 12.x" brakes.

Bascically, you can swap amongst any of those setups listed above. No modification is needed for the mounting points as they will bolt right up. Perhaps dust shileds need to removed/trimmed when swapping for the larger 12.x" brakes.

the calipers are different as well for the respective car and year that went to the larger brakes as well. judging from brake pad part #s and caliper model numbers.

thanks!

Yeah, the 11.x" brakes have the 1-piston caliper and the 12.x" brakes have the 2 piston caliper for the front. The rear calipers differ slightly as well.
