Default two questions??

My Z was bought 3 months ago it is an 04 touring and for some reason it feels unlike the 05 and 07 that i have driven. It rides as if there are coilover on it or something it is extremely stiff. At turns i have zero body roll at all and i feel every bump there is at all speeds. Is this true of other peoples Z's?? Or is there something wrong with mine?

Also What are the best options to upgrade the breaks without going over $1500-1700??

Did you actually look at the setup to see what it looks like? The Z is slightly stiff already, compared to others (slightly now). You will feel bodyroll if it's stock, if you know what your feeling for. What color are the springs?

I checked it out when it was on a lift the other day and have checked out the fronts on my own while doing some cosmetic mods. The springs and struts are stock. But i am 100% serious i have no body roll the car feels stiffer than an s2000 by a long shot and 2000x stiffer than the 07 Z i test drove today. Also how much resistance should i have on clutch pedal because the 07 was a soft clutch with no resistance while mine feels like the ACT street clutch i had in my 99 maxima. I am wondering if previous owner did any work to this car

I don't know what else to say about the suspension. So far as the clutch, it's hard to rate that here without actually doing it for my self. I drove an 07 and it felt the same as the stock one I have now. So if it had an previous owner, there's no telling. If I were you, I'd just keep going and not look back.

1500.....brakes...hmmm

You can go to SS brake lines change your rotors and get pads.

The cheapest BBK front is 1700 so thats out of the question.

03/04 oem suspension's vs 04.5-07 suspension's use different parts in key area's that fully explain why they differ as much as they do.

Mid way into 2004 production Nissan made a running change to address ride and drive quality issues related to bounce and porposing issues. This change is known as the "revised suspenison".

The 2004.5 revised suspension features shocks that have a lot less compression dampning (stiffness on bump) and more rebound control (rate of return). Nissan also bumped the rear spring stiffness up 25% from 342lbs to 427lbs. They revised the rear shock dust shields/bump stops as well as increasing front sway bar strenth by 17% courtesy of thicker wall's in the bars hollow contruction. The 04.5+ oem shocks lower compression dampning level's would have the single greatest effect on the differance you felt between the two cars, fully understandable.

I have a late 04 and mine feels pretty stiff compared to others as well as my clutch is harder to push compared to the newer ones...doesnt bother me at all...

If you're comparing your '04 to the newer Z's, then what you are experiencing is normal because on the newer Z's, they softened up the suspension and clutch. (i have never driven an '07, but this is from what i have read.)

It took me a while to get used to as well. I was used to having more bodyroll for feedback before the Z. The Z still rolls (not as much as I was used to), so I learned to be more attentive.
