Hows the ride with those? I want better handling but I'm really looking for a better ride. After 4 years the Z starts to get a little bumpy.

Stock shocks are fine. I ran mine with RS*R springs for a couple years.

If your looking for a better ride because the Z is bumpy, try the Maxima or the Quest (I hear it rides pretty nice as well).

You don't have to be an *******. This is an honest question. I have had hotchkis sways, tein s-techs, JIC strut bar and gt spec chassis braces for around a year. I have a feeling my ride is much, much stiffer than yours. I've also had my car for over four years now and clocked 57k miles. Since when is wanting improved performance and comfort so wrong?

If you're looking for a jackass, try shoving a pineapple in your anus and looking in the mirror (I hear it makes your face funnier looking).

+1

My buddy has that on his stock 350z and said it rides better so i'm guessing it would only help your situation and not hurt it.

tokico d-spec's are adjustable.... so you can make the ride softer or stiffer

03/04 oem shocks have a nice amount of compression dampning, but very poor rebound control, making if difficult to carry speed on less then smooth pavement. All the owner reports in the early day's of those forum from owner's complaining about bounce and freeway porposing are tied to this. Nissan revised the suspension midway into 2004 production to cure the problem with shocks that have less compression dampning and more rebound control. Koni's SA rebound adjustable shocks or Tokico D-spec double adjustable shocks (rebound/compression together) both feature vastly superior valving vs all oem Z shocks. Either shock would be a upgrade, especially vs 03/04 oem shocks. Which one to go with depends on if you can justify the price differance for Koni's vs the D-specs, keeping in mind that the two shocks do adjust quite differently.

My bad for coming across wrong on the forum. I have been in the military for too long and we joke around far too much to keep people from getting too stressed out. Sometimes I forget to draw the line when I am talking to people I am not friends with.

I stand behind Koni all the way in terms of handling and comfort. They are the only brand that has been able to keep me happy in terms of spring/shock setup. As far as springs, I usually pick the one that gives me the drop that I desire, because having more gap in the front than the back will bother me significantly worse than having a high rebound spring.

Once again, apologize for coming across as an a$$.

Dan.
