Default Koni Sport Questions

Just installed a set of Koni shocks on my car. The instructions are terribly criptic. I couldn,t figure out were the white plastic discs could go on the rear set. Would also like to hear any suggestions on ballpark settings to match Hotchkis springs.

The white disc's are supposed to sit on top of the front shocks, you slip them around the piston shaft, Koni has a name for them forgotten what that is. The front shocks of course adjust with a seperate white plastic ****, while the rear shocks adjust from the side of the shock by inserting a small allen key or something sized accordingly into a slit that is just about the black plastic dust shield. How you install the rear's is critical, if that adjustment slit is facing the inside of the car, you cannot adjust the rear shocks. Really nice thing about the rear shocks is that you can adjust them without removing the shocks from the car, all you do is jack up the rear and reach into the wheel well.

They should be install all set to full soft and you drive the car for awhile looking to see if you should raise the rebound settings higher. Go to the link below and read pdf page 12, it tells you what to look for when setting rebound. The shocks do not adjust compression, so only worry about setting rebound. Be advised that you certainly can dial in too much rebound and slow the car down overall.

Yes, I installed the white discs on the shafts of the front shocks, no problem figuring that out but what about the ones that come with the rear? They have a large hole in the center. The diagram only shows to install the large metal washer on the end of the shock under the assembly that mounts it to the body.
