Default What set of springs should I get?

I’ve been looking into purchasing a set of springs for my Z for quite a long time now and still can not make a decision. Could you please help me decide between Eibach Pro v. Tanabe GF210. I know Eibach’s are progressive springs and Tanabe’s are linear. Let me get some feedback from you guys, positives and negatives going with either ones. I also know that Eibach’s lower the car 1”F/1”R and Tanabe’s 1”F/1.2”R. Are you using any Camber and Toe Adjusters? Thanks

Jesus....don't listen to this kind of person. No intelligence in modding.
If you lower your car more than .7 of an inch, your tires and shocks are going to be PISSED.

WOW! the drop on the Sprint springs is 1.75in. all around. That's a little too much of a drop man. The car looks great though.

If you want your tires to last you'll need a rear camber/toe kit installed and obviously a 4 wheel alignment afterwards.

im slammed on stance coilovers. -3 degrees up front and -4 out back. i have the cusco camber arm for the front and the camber arms for the back been lazy putting it on. but ive had them this way for 22k miles, surprisingly my camber wear isnt as bad as i thought it would be. prolly bcus im slightly toe in. anyways im rambling. i think you should get coilovers. and slam it. who cares about tires. hahahahahaha.

tanabes are not straight linear - they are mildly progressive, just less so than Eibach

either is a good choice

Actually Adam it's the other way around. The GF210's have one additional progressive coil loop and will have a greater rate spread between the them and the Pro-kits. Even with 2 progressive coil's the Pro-kit's still have rate spread, though less then Sportlines.

That picture was taken the same day that I installed the springs/struts, so now, a year later, they have settled in. I'll get a new PIC this week.

In all sincerity, your barking up the wrong tree. Your oem 03 shocks are doing way more to the car's ride quality then the springs are. You can bandaid things with progressive springs and get the drop you want to see. But to really deliver on what your after a more forgiving shock or one that can be adjusted to be more forgiving is in order. Better shocks will allow you to run what is actually a stiffer spring yet have improved ride and drive quality, yet hopefully stay off the bump stops in spite of being lowered.

Your oem 2003 are linear
Spring rates in LBS 314/342

Tanabe GF210 Series 350Z progressive springs 1”/1.2”
Spring rates in LBS 336/375 (only peak rates are published, softer initial progressive rates unknown)

Tanabe NF210 Series 350Z progressive springs 1.2”/1.2” higher
Spring rates in LBS 314/353

The NF210's are pretty much the same as oem, catch is you've given up 1.2" of suspension travel, yet you've done so with pretty much zero increase in spring stiffness vs oem. So where is the added protection to keep you off the bump stops which are very unforgiving in the front and cannot be trimmed.

In case it helps here's a full list of 350Z lowering springs with specs.

what you'll find on the tanabes (I suspect, as I've seen it on many other of their applications) is the first several coils are "dead". One of these daysI'll get a set on the dyno and take a look
