How long did your 1 st set of brake pads last ?
Im at thew dealership this morning , and they tell me my front brake pads need replacing .
I haven't talked to them about getting it done under warrenty yet . Now im wondering how long the average Z owners first set of brake pad lasted ? I have 15.5 k miles on my 06 Z as of now .

Mine lasted 30k miles.
If you're driving the car as it's "meant to be," don't complain when stuff wears down faster on it. That's like someone complaining that they get terrible gas mileage when they shift at redline every time. Reap what you sow, friend...
Also, brake pads aren't normally covered under most warranties; they're wear items.

There is no set amount of time that brake pads are supposed to last. It is completely dependent on your driving style, and what type of driving you do. If you downshift to slow down, you'll use less brakes. If you do mostly high way driving, you'll use less brakes.
This past year, in over 30,000 miles of me driving, I got the front OEM pads down to 50% of their usable life, before I decided to switch to some hawks pads. If your pads have worn down in 15,000 miles, that tells me that you are either in constant stop-and-go traffic, or perhaps you are riding your brake too much.

My stock shoes only lasted about 3K miles. However, that was because I hated the brake dust on the rims. The Greenstuff Shoes have been on there 12K now and look like they will go another 30K or so. Hard to tell ya know.
