Default Best Lowering Spring? Opinions...

Yes I searched, I didnt find to much.

Just want some opinions on which has the minimal amount of drop. And maybe a stiffer ride, not sure what I want, but just maybe the look of it being a bit lower.

I have read the eibach is really low and sags... I dont want that

Is the TEIN good?

Who else has springs?

If you want a moderate drop, you can't really go wrong with hotchkis springs

RS*Rs (15 mm drop) are sick. Perfect if you ask me. Tough to find though.

a lot of people have springs, but it really comes down to how much of a drop you want. If you want just minimal, Tein is probably the more popular ones around here with less than an inch drop.
S-Tech or H-Tech.

The H is even less off an drop. Almost near stock.

Sounds like you need to go with the Hotchkis.

The Tanabe's will give you about 1" to 1.2" drop that you're looking for. There are two different Tanabe's for the Z, get the one that's closest to the drop you're looking for.

Minimal wouldn't be 1-1.2", especially if he wants to stay in spec without getting camber arms. You may get lucky, but I doubt it with 1+inch. If you are looking for a moderate drop you can't go wrong with hotchkis springs. Just get the TVS Stage 1 package that comes with sways and you will be a happy.

Rs*r FTW. Perfect ride height if you are worried about getting over speed bumps/humps, driveways... the ride is very comfortable, and they handle great. Call Rs*r directly, thats how I got mine in less than a week

I have SPRINT (linear 1.77" will settle to ~1.9).

However I would suggest a true coilover for more adjustability (no opinion on brands).

Nothing that is 1" or more should be qualified as a "minimum drop", especially knowing first hand how much shock piston stroke is left.

Here are all your choice's in the market for a less then 1" drop

S-techs, Hotchkis, RSR and Swift would get my vote.

Tein S-tech 350Z springs .7“.6“ (fronts are slightly progressive, rears are linear)
Spring rates in LBS 386/402 (estimated initial rate front is 327lbs)

Tein H-tech 350z linear springs .3”/.2”
Spring rates in LBS 358/375
Note: in actuall use stiffness on the car didn't quite match the specs that Tein say's the springs deliver, thats IMO of course.

Hotchkis 350Z Linear springs .6”/.8”
Spring rates in lbs 340/330

RSR 350Z linear springs .6”/.6”
Spring rates in LBS 345/417
Note: Can be difficult to buy, contact vendor or manufactuer directly first.

Swift 350Z linear springs .8”/.6”
Spring rates in LBS 336/364

Kg/mm springs 350Z
DR21 super sport 15mm drop
Spring rates in lbs initial/final front 246/398 initial/final rear 252/409

Espelir 350Z progressive springs 10mm drop or .4”/.4”
Spring rates 386/515 (softer initial rates are unknown)

so if someone had a daily driver that they wanted a minimal drop, stiffer ride, and not spend a fortune...would you just change out the springs or the springs and shocks? if both, what brands would be best for this application? i read the suspension fact page and it confused the hell out of me

You have a 03 car according to your sig and your idea of wanting something stiffer is going to come with a different perspective vs someone with one of the latter cars that does not have as much shock derived stiffness as your rolling on (vs 04.5+ car's that have the revised suspension). With that said, on the whole your better off swaping out the oem shocks for something that has better valving vs getting a spring setup that is a bandaid measure to try and cover up less then ideal 03/04 shock valving. I could see D-specs and any one of the springs that I list above that are linear and cost effective to keep your costs down, even S-techs which are slightly progressive in the front.

What will the Tanabe 1" settle at? 1"? Also how bad will a 1" drop throw my camber off?

The above post confused me, 03 shocks are stiffer than later years? I feel like im in a rocket ship when I take off..... I hate that

^^thanks. So then what shocks would fit into my goal? also, when i buy the shocks, do i need to buy them without springs and buy one of the above mentioned springs?

I was looking at this kit too, should I just go ahead and replace the shocks too? If so, which ones to go a bit stiffer?
