This is exactly my feeling, and the feedback we get from other customers. At first, I was skeptical of a 14kg spring, thinking it would be untolerable on the street. But, IMHO, the ride is BETTER than the regular Flex, even with a 12kg spring.

I just finished testing the Tein Super Racing with 16kg/16kg front and rear at Road Atlanta, and the even on the road, the ride is suprisingly compliant. The dampening really helps soak up the bumps, and keep it from bouncing or jumping around. Feels great!

Ive been playing with settings and driving my car a ton the past few days-changing the suspension has given me a new found love to drive it. The set-up understeers (with STOCK sways) at the limit, with the front tires protesting way before the rears, but I like the level of comfort these coilovers provide at the limit. MUCH better than the JIC's. Speeds around exit ramps at my street limit are 2-4mph quicker, Im sure I can get slightly quicker once I get even more used to it. Next Z day Z look out Sharif and Luie!! BTW-I LOVE negative 1 degree of rear camber, it looks incredible and I can almost hook 2nd WOT with bald (from all the donuts!) KDW's. I'll post some action shot tomorrow

Very nice review! Would you say that these would be more suitable for track use (road course) than the JIC's ?

Depends on your style of driving. I enjoyed the oversteer tendency of the JIC's at the limit much more NA than with 500+whp w/the twins, as coming out of turns anything more than 1/2 throttle would cause the back end to slide out in a nasty way. It took some time to get used to driving the JIC's fast, where the Flex's in my case and with me driving feel like they arent waiting to bite me with oversteer. I prefer the Mono Flex's but Id say the choice between the 2 on the track would come down to the driver, as they both are great handling set-ups, although I like the dampening adjustment range on the Mono Flex much better. Funny thing is I have never enjoyed my JIC's like I did at the dragon this year, only took me 3.5 years to REALLY appreciate them Then I switched

Hey Bert, playing with the ride height and corner balancing also has a big impact on understeer vs. oversteer. I bet with a little more adjusting, you can have it dialed in for a very neutral behavior.

I was gonna get it corner balanced but the shop hadnt set up their scaled yet Rich Ive dialed most of the understeer away (it was much worse initially), right now Id say its slightly understeer at the limit, which is fine with me. Sways will also help, I'll be doing the Hotchkis soon...

You'll love it with the Hotchkis. I'm running my Tein Flex with the hotchkis set at 3 in the front and 2 in the rear. I still need to get used to driving it, but I don't seem to have all the nasty understeer I had on the stock setup. Light application of throttle in the turn gets the rear coming around quite easily.

My uncle's buddy took my car for a spin yesterday and came back speechless with a huge grin... quote "remember where I took that corner on the sports bike? Yeah... I took this thing through it just as fast". Mind you the VDC was on and never kicked in....

What are you running your dampening settings at?

For my most agressive Im running 2 front, 1 rear thats pretty neutral with some slight understeer. On 0/0 full stiff it understeered more. I need to try 2 front, 0 rear next...

Hm... I'm running 4/4 right now. I'll have to try something like 4/2 then... I don't have the EDFC so screwing with the settings is a PITA in the rear (removing the trim everytime, grrr lol). I'm sure the sways are going to change my results by quite a bit...

Yeah, with the back stiffer, it rotates better and gets you more towards oversteer which makes the handling more neutral if that makes sense...on my JIC's Id run the opposite, 7 front (stiff) 3 rear (soft) just to get it to drive neutral to slightly oversteering at the limit!

Yup that absolutely makes sense. I went with 3/2 on the sways instead of 4/2 to help eliminate the understeer caused by the stock staggered tire setup. The amount of rotation I'm getting out of this car just rocks

What do you like for the camber on the front, btw? I'm having mine realigned today since I lowered it further than it was at during the initial alignment. I'm going to try your -1* camber on the rear (last place set it to -1.25 and that seemed to have cured some of my wheel spin into 2nd).

I used to run -2 on all 4 tires, that handles GREAT. Now I run -1.6/1.7 front and -1.1 rear, handles just as good with better straight line traction and tire wear...

Alberto...looks like you have an oversteering problem there..not understeer.
