Default Need Quick Help on front spring removal

Let me first say, ive done about 10-12 vehicle spring and/or coilover installs. This car is SERIOUSLY cake!!! But, I have one hang up.

I pulled the front strut/spring combo and and tried to loosen the top hat nut. My impact gun doesnt even phase it. So I put it back in the car and then used a breaker bar. It just spins.

How did you guys get this nut off?!

I used a 10mm open end wrench to hold the inner shaft while I spun the nut off with another open end wrench. Once you break it loose you can use a socket or impact wrench.
