Exclamation Used HKS LS Suspension. Advice needed!

I've got an oppurtunity to buy the HKS LS suspension. He is selling his car and wants to return it to stock. My question is this. Is it OK to reuse a suspension, any draw backs? The car has about 1700 miles on it. Thanks in advance for your knowledge, expertise and/or opinions.

Eh, you guys da bes!

I'll definately pick this up for $900 installed (not aligned). I'm also offered 19" Bronze TE-37's w/Dunlop SP Sport 9000 for $2k. (8.5 255f, 9.5 275r) Same car but less miles. Helluva deal, just not sure of bronze on brick. I've got a Photoshop request out, no luck yet. Any opinions?

When designing the suspension, weight is a major factor, I doubt they would skip that.
According to the SEMA rep for Tein they are the same, thats where im basing my response from.

edit-i guess the HKS are different, the fronts have the same spring rate for the 350/G35, but the rear spring rate is a little softer for the G35 as opposed to the Z.

All right then....more research...

I'll call around some this week. Any more info/knowledge? If weight is an issue, would that be a benefit from G to Z, or is would this just be un doable?

If you use the susp from the G35 with the softer spring rate in the back, its gonna make hte car understeer more since the front is gonna be stiffer and have less body roll.

Keep the the info coming, I appreciate it!

Matix noticed that you have TE-37's on order. Did you sell your GTC's yet? I KNOW those would look good on my brick> What's your opinion of bronze TE-37's on a brick. I was out in Riverside last year, I think that's where your sig pics are from. We partied at a cigar shop/bar in what must have been "old town?", do you know the name? I remember someone there, the owner I think, had a tricked out Lexus. Great live music, we had a good time with some real cool people. Might be back out that way in a few weeks to see my l'il sis graduate from HS (Pomona, Ramona, something like that), if I can get time off work.

Anyway, back to my Z....

I sold my GT-C's a few weeks ago...asfar as bronze TE's on a brickyard, I dont think that will look so good....I'd go with flat silver TE's on that color. I know what cigarshop yer talkin about, but forget the name...if yer out this way a few weeks, hit me up, we'll go grab a beer or somethin...Colin

The 2 suspensions are not the same. There is more than just weight that is calculated when doing this suspension. The reason TEIN can use the same set up is because the damp is fully adjustable. The HKS comes pre-loaded for the specific application. I would suggest getting the set that was made for the Z.

Spring rates for G35 are 8Kg F / 6 Kg R 350Z has 8Kg F / 8Kg R . Source 03 HKS goods master catalog.
