best shocks

yep the Koni's are terrific shocks - probably the best out there and the valving range kicks ***. But, they want to be mated to a stiffer spring, and that limits the spring you can use (since there aren't many springs that are significantly stiffer than stock front and rear). Given the OP's desire for something more comfortable than stock, I'll stick by my recommendation of the Bilstein as being the best I've used yet

When it comes to warranty bilstein honors cause they say for use with lowering springs. I have not had that kind of luck with koni. Z1 is right for saying bilstein, good warranty and probably great ride. I don't have direct z experience with bilstein but when every other vehicle you've driven with bilsteins has been good then the odds are... I included the link as to the hd or sport question. Good luck with the choice you make.

To see what shocks you have look at your rear shocks and compare them to the revised rear shocks in the following pictures. Look at the dustshields and see if your rear shocks have the same sticker with yellow in it. No stickers and a different dustsheild mean you don't have the revised suspension.

a) Bilstein sport shocks. IMO, I would also not reinstall the oem dustshield/bumpstops. Again, IMO I would install Koni progressive soft bumpstops and run them instead.
b) used oem 05-07 shocks or Tokico HP (unless you have D-spec money) Same opinion as above on bumpstops
Here's Koni progressive soft bumpstop part number
Kon15.34.20.000.0
Here's a link to where you can buy them.

Swift 350Z Spec-R progressive springs 1.2”/1”
Spring rates in LBS initial/final Front: 291/392 Rear: 280/448
They do have rather soft initial rates, so do you think the tokicos would be a better match?

2. Less expensive= shocks that aren't any different then oem other then being new (KYB GR2 or Tokico HP) Tokico D-spec would be way to go if don't want to stick with the oem shocks. Keep in mind that GF210s are not that much stiffer then oem springs in the front and actually softer in the rear then your oem springs, can't really build a big case that you need to kick the oem 05 shocks to the curb.
