Question Autoweek article and question about Track suspension

Autoweek has a new tidbit of info about the Z convertible.

Z drop-top update

Nissan officials said to expect about a $4,500 surcharge for the 350Z Roadster, but now that they’ve sorted out the finances it looks more like $5,500 is the actual number. The 350Z Roadster will be offered only in Enthusiast and Touring models, because Nissan figures even with extra stiffness built into the open-air chassis it still wouldn’t be strong enough to meet the needs of those buying the race-tuned Track suspension.

WTF does that mean? Does it mean the Track has a different suspension? I don't think so. If people wanted the Track to actually track it, how many of those people would want a convertible? Why not offer a Track version of the convertible...i'm sure there are plenty of people who would want the Track version just for the Rays wheels and Brembo brakes. Sounds like front office marketing speak to justify not offering a $45k Z after what happened in the 90s.

I can't believe they made the mistake of saying the Track model has a different suspension, that's pathetic. The Track model should come with the Nismo S tune suspension, to make it a true track model, really dumb that it doesn't.

Your correct, it's all marketing as there is only 1 suspension setup on all models (wheels and brakes are not "suspension" by definition).
