yea, mclaren has a pretty good one too. Not trying to thread jack, but i can't wait for 08' f1 to start. No tC!!!! The idea of this sort of technology trickling down to street cars really interests me.

just to let everyone know we got the dampers in today (front and rear), but they don't include the mounting brackets. Once we have those we will install and post our impressions

what's interesting is the rear brace looks 100% identical to the one we sell for the STi, other than the fact that the Subaru version has strut bar like ends threaded on since it mounts as a rear strut brace on those cars. Other than that and the sticker (this one says NISMO and Autech) they are the same length, same design

the front one for the Subaru is actually pink, and mounts under the car. I don't have one of those in stock though to compare the NISMO one to

they are also quite light, and VERY hard if not nearly impossible to compress by hand...and the silver matches my car lololol

we'll post when we have updates available...still waiting on brackets for front and rear

I won't be able to install the rear due to interference with my sub box. As for the front, once we receive brackets we will install it

So..... time to go for custom fab'd brackets? I'd do it, but nobody'll tell me the F'ing part numbers for the dampeners and my parts guy is too busy to figure it out for me.

Ok, I too had wanted this stuff and have the following part numbers
that you'll need and quantities. I could not have done this without the help
of Russell Moore, parts manager at Bruce Titus Nissan in Olympia, Washington (nissanparts.cc). I've been a long time customer of theirs and their pricing and service is top-notch. After my discussions about obtaining these parts, Russell is very interested in carrying this stuff and making it available to the 350Z community. According to him, some of these parts will be readily available from any Nissan US dealer while some will be treated as special order from Nissan Japan. I currently have the front and rear dampers, rear bracket mounting bolts, and damper end-link nuts but the front and rear brackets themselves are still on back-order:

(1) E44B2-1A310 bar assy-damper front

(1) E54B2-1A310 bar assy-damper RR

(1) E44A6-1A300 brkt assy-damper bar, FR RH

(1) E44A7-1A300 brkt assy damper bar, FR LH

(1) E54B6-1A300 brkt assy-damper bar, RR RH

(1) E54B7-1A300 brkt assy-damper bar, RR LH

(4) 08156-8201F bolt (for rear brkt assy's)

(4) 08918-3402A nut (for front & rear damper bar end-links)

Now here's where it gets a little murky: The following part numbers are listed in the latest edition of Nissan FAST for the Nismo Z, but according to Russell, they do not show as valid part numbers so you might have to get creative and try finding something that will work:

(4) 08156-8302F bolt (for front brkt assy's)

(4) 08157-0352F bolt (for front & rear damper end-links)

Good luck. As soon as I get the brackets in, I'll install the front and rear dampers and post my observations.

Greg

I'd rather just use the brackets that nissan sells...I'm not in so much of a rush that I am going to make them, it's not really that big of a deal to me to wait. Russell is in the same boat everyone else is (I've spoken to him I think on Evom of all places)..dampers are available, brackets, as of yet, are still not. Sucks, but it's how it goes with Nissan sometimes
