Default NEED HELP PLEASE: installing OEM BREMBOS

hi..

ok after much searching... ive finally found that the offets and dimensions on the anniversary OEM 18's are. which im using as a point of reference.

F- 18x8 30 offset
R- 18x8.5 33offset

I finally found a used complete set of OEM brembos from a 2004 G35.

I have a set of 19" HRE's on my 2005 Z

F- 19x9.5 24 offset
R- 19x10.5 34 offet

by eye.. the front currently has a good amount of caliper/rim space.. there is definitely a good gap. even more in the rear.. so logically I think the Brembos should fit..

using the OEM 18's with a 30 offset as a referance.. im well below that with a 24 offset.! in the front

my friend is a Nissan Mechanic and has installed other parts on my z.. he says the rear is not an issue.. if theres a problem it will be up front..

currenlty im waiting for those freaking calliper bolts... 2 per caliper.. that my set did not come with.. so Im stressing with anxiety till they come in.. and if the calipers will fit..! I wont even biggen to imaging how pissed I will be if they dont..! however I read here.. that the front non-brembo bolts can be used on the brembo calipers.. however the rear must be the brembo bolts? is that true?

if someone can provide some feedback it is SUPER appreciated..!
thanks
Tony..

The calipers WILL fit...

You NEED to use the Brembo bolts ( if used make sure they give you the bolts )

Good luck!

hi,

ya I have the break lines..

im still waiting for the freaking bolts... I have a friend who specializes in all Nissan OEM and aftermarket parts... if there is someone who will get them the fastest it would be him... but these specific bolts arent exactly a regular order that Nissan gets.. so we are approaching 3 weeks that im waiting now.!

I just hope the freaking front calipers fit..! all this waiting and anxiety.!

if they dont fit.. i'll have to use spacers.. on the front.. but then id get them for the back too cause I would not want it to be uneven..
and ive heard Spacers cause vibrations... at higher speeds? is this true... cause from ive read here.. lots of people are using spacers..

anyone have some opinions on that..?
thanks
Tony

sorry man.. I dont quite get your comment..?

One of my friend's is a mechanic at a Nissan dealer in my area, and I know another guy who orders Nissan parts..

who the heck is Carlos Ghosn?

and what does that have to do with asking if SPACERS cause vibrations..?

The rear Brembo bolts are the only ones you need.
Those offsets should not be a problem at all.

For someone who claims he has Nissan friends, it sure takes them a long time to get parts for you.

whats the use of a wise guy comment like that..! the freaking bolts were on back order..! it has nothing to do with them.. I have a friend who is a nissan mechanic at a dealer in my area.. and another guy that I order parts from and who happens to kow alot about nissan cars..etc..

ANYWAYS!

good news..! the calipers in the front fit just perfect.. with a few milimeters of caliper space, literally..! but thats ok.. I was hoping for a nice flush look..! Im so glad I did not have to use spacers..!

NOW ONCE AT FOR ALL.....: THE 2 NON-BREMBO CALIPER BOLTS FIT THE BREMBO CALIPER. THEY ARE THE EXACT SAME BOLTS. I SAW WITH MY OWN EYES!!!

THE REAR ARE NOT THE SAME. THEREFORE YOU MUST HAVE THE BREMBO REAR BOLTS.!

here's a nice picture of my Z at SCP8 show ( Sport compact performance), just after I got the Brembos installed. its the biggest car show in Canada. it is held at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal every year..!

Everyone said only the REAR bolts were required.
Now you need a 17 spare wheel that works in front.

hi,

nah.. I dont drive the car in the winter.. its stored away..

I was given mutiple opinions about the bolts.. some said you only need the rear, some said you only need the front, and other said you need all of them.

so to be safe.. I ordered all 8..

What I meant was ...Your current spare is no good on the front. It will touch the caliper.

told you it would fit. Congrats you got everything working.

You never needed the caliper bolts for the front, it's only for the rear.
