Default Nismo S-Tune Suspension and Sway Bars?

I'm interested in upgrading the suspension and the Nismo S-Tune is what I believe I want. Are the Nismo sway bars needed? How different are they from stock or doen't the stock vehicle have sway bars?

believe it or not, the stock front sway-bar are some of the biggest you can find on production car! I think if you search Raceboy's thread on S-tune suspension, he can explain his after install better...

IMO, I don't think you need the sway-bar, but if you are into track racing / lots of corning, then it may suit you.

Thank you for the response. I don't plan to race but I do want a better ride and cornering. I'm sure I should be able to go faster in the corners in the hills around here.

So if the sway bars are ok then you've saved me about $700.

Where? The best price I've found is at

http://www.i-m-racing.com/suspension.html

And the price is $695 plus shipping. You've done a better job than I have finding a good price.

S-Tune stiffens the suspension a little and makes the handling better. Changes the car from default understeer to more balanced. It also gets rid of the poorly tuned shock dampening of the stock suspension, eliminating the "porpoising" effect on concrete roads.

Anyone who has installed the parts either lives in Japan or imported the parts.

Nissan will be officially offering Nismo parts and dealer installation starting mid June. If you want warrantied parts, then wait till they're available.
