I have been looking for this car in the media section for the longest time now. I couldn't figure out who's car it was. Your car is amazing..i really mean that. It's probably the classiest z i have ever seen.

 

This may be a stoopid question but I haven't seen anyone bring it up so...

If the rear Wilwood BBK removes the drum parking brake, what do you guys do for a parking brake? Leave it in 1st or reverse? How well does the hydraulic line-lock work?

This 4 wheel package looks like a great deal for about $2200

 

I guess it depends on who put the kit together. I still have my parking brakes and they work fine.

Factory Wilwood kits do NOT remove the parking brake.

The kits are fully compatible with the parking brake via an iron hat built for this application. Any kit removing the parking brake is not a factory Wilwood kit and should not be confused with their 13 or 14" six pot front kits and parking brake four pot rears. Note also that all factory kits have two piece rotors and do not come with one piece iron rotors.

If you prefer the alternately built kits from others that's fine but please do not reference them as being the same; they aren't.

Guys the rotors are realy heavy :S since iam not an expert in cars moding ,, what do u think is that normal ??

 

Yeah rotors are fairly heavy. Unless you drive an Enzo and have carbon-ceramic rotors

 

Wilwood makes great stuff. I had a 4 piston front BBK on my 5.5 gen Max. Awesome...

 

I wouldn't put them on my car. Since BBKs have been shown NOT to help you stop any better, especially on the street, their purpose is just for show. IMO, they don't look any better than the OEM Brembos.

 

They are lighter than your stock breaks by at least 8 lbs.

 

I have this kit for the fronts. couldnt be happier. I have about 30K on them. Im on my 2nd set of pads on the first set of rotors. i've beat the **** out of them too. they hold up amazingly. Stockers are a joke in comparison. I havnt gone for the rear kit yet because the kit from this guy eliminates the parking brake. Im sure there's a way to remedy that issue, but i havnt looked into it.

Dont be scared of his prehistoric site. I've met him in person and he's a good guy.

Anything that reduces unsprung weight is a boon, esp to handling.

You do not need the parking brake since he includes the line lock
