Default brake problems

I got the brake light showing up with 22k miles.. i filled up the brake fluid using a dot-3 and the light went away..

But now my brakes squeak and sound horrible..

I have a 2005 roadster w/o brembos, what type of pads do I need? Can I get them on ebay? what type should i be looking for? any specs I should look for?

How hard is it to replace them myself?

Topping off the brake fluid would not cause your brakes to "squeak" and "sound horrible", probably just a coincidence. Why don't you just go to the dealer for new brake pads for your 2005 Z? Buying stuff off ebay can be tricking and end up costing you more. Lastly, yes you should be able to change the pads yourself it is an easy procedure. I am sure there is a DIY some where on this forum.

Some people like hawk because they are less dusty. Since you have non-brembos, you can always just go oem and deal with cleaning your rims every couple of days like normal.

EBC green should be fine , same with there ceramic. Either are fine on a street car. When the fluid is getting low like yours did , its really time to keep an eye on the pads, cause they're getting close to being worn.
