Default new brake pads

I need to get new brake pads and rotors for my car. I was seeing if this was a good deal

a front set and rear set of Hawk HPS High Performance Street Pads. Hawk part numbers:

* HB268F.665 Front Set
* HB370F.559 Rear Set

for 124.00.

Also what sort of rotors can i get and how much. the car is a daily driver. I have 19" after market wheels on it

Thanks!
Mo

HPS front/rear: $120 shipped

Another good option is the NISMO pad - more money, but a bit less dust, and better bite overall:

rotors on a budget? Powerslot and Stoptech both offer very affordable, quality rotors for great pricing Let us know if you need a package deal

I should need pads before the summer. I have the HPS now and the only reasons I would consider buying them again is low dust and almost no rotor wear. I would like to try a pad with more bite, but I don't want to chew my rotors up. How are the NISMO pads with respect to rotor wear vs HPS or stock pads. (The stock pads took about half the front rotor life with them when they wore out at 13k miles)

you only got 13k miles out of your stock pads?

im at 22k now and the breaks feel fine. havent had them checked at all though. hmmm. maybe time to get them checked to see how much life is left in them.

OP - how long did your stock pads last?

I had about 22k on mine and replaced the fronts because I started getting some squeaking. Upon inspection, it appeared there was some pad life left, but the squeak is gone so I'm happy.

Brembo or non? Look into something like the Endless Vita Nuova or the new SS-H (specific to Brembo cars), or, their CCA compound. We've been using the Endless pads alot now and their range of offerings is staggering....literally a pad for every conceivable useage!

I'm currently on one of their newer compounds, the CCX, with my Endless BBK. While they say they need some heat to work, I have not noticed this at all. And despite the huge pad size, and their relatively high temp rating, they have been very easy on the rotors (a good thing since Endless replacement disks are pricey!), and very low dust, even when I'm on the car hard. We did a run up to Mt. Snow a couple months back, including alot of mountain road driving when up there, and I had only a light coating of dust on wheels when I made it home. And we're talking a 5 hour drive to the mountain, a whole day of driving at the mountain, then a 5 hour drive home!

We've got all the Endless pads available in the classified section for those interested

Non-brembo. I have heard good things about the CC-X pads before. I might try those.

Thanks for the info.
