Sadly, a few people here at work actually made fun of the color and asked why I didn't paint the calipers

Thanks, it's only the 332mm kit but the Carbotech XP8's and 275's make up for it.

I'm curious to know how many people on here actually track their cars regularly? Or are the majority of these kits just for show?

We do!
4-5 times a year, but I plan on going more frequently, now that I have brakes and tires

I have a friend that has stoptechs on his car and he is a track fiend:

alvin: nice pictures! Can't say I know what track that is, but looks like a lot of fun with those elevation changes. It's good to see people using the parts they buy for what they are meant for. Brakes and tires are the best and worst part about tracking. Fantastic to have proper sets of both to see the times just drop, but boy does the bill add up fast the more you do it.

I'm a big function over form guy and while I appreciate aesthetics, I don't know if I'd spend 5000+ on a BBK for daily driving activity. Not to mention the people putting on 12 piston fronts and 8 pistons rears w/ 15 inch rotors, but then having heavy wheels and regular tires. BBKs are only as good as the tires that can take that level of stopping power.

It's just funny to see so many flashy BBKs that seem like they never get to do what they are made for I guess. But I'm just assuming really.

Does it really matter ? - everyone's dif. w/ their own agenda. Almost every mod we do is performance orientated in some way...in light of this - does that give reason to rip on someone if they have a vented hood, turbo, or new aero ?, but can't make it to the track ? - should that person keep his car completely stock because he knows he'll never go ?. Its just style man. Mad props to those who are track enthusiasts and seriously drive their car on a closed course - its fun as hell. But lets face it, about 10 percent of all Z owners actually make it out there, and the ones that do are mostly stock - maybe w/ brembos running alongside older m3's, evo's, and miata's. maybe a s2k here and there. people tend to keep it cheap so they can have repeated fun out there. But when I see a dumped Z that looks sick as **** I'm not going to ask him for his timeslips or laptime. I'm going to compliment him on a styling job well done.
