Probably true; I obviously only tried on my G.

Speaking with GTSPEC, they are willing to work with me on making an adapter, or a modified brace. No guarentees, just willing to try it out.

Here's a pic of how it doesn't fit:

i'm going on a guess here.. gotta think where all the forces are going and which direction. i think these are mainly for side to side lateral/twisting movements of the nose as compared to the rest of the body. as long as the mounting points are solid, torsional movement could still be be minimized since technically there is still triangulation in the form, even with that bend... if you're thinking there is going to be alot of up and down motion, like the engine bay/nose is going to flex up relative to the body then thats where the bend might not be the best..

imho. the weakest point will be the welds on the mounting, and not the bars it self. if you get that much twisting action, then i think you just went over a cliff and the car is now hitting things that would probably ruin more than just the bars...

honestly i dont think its going to flex all that much, so any reinforcement will be noticed even when highly stressed (i.e. quick turns left to right as in an auto-x or road course)

They are working on it, mid/late March is the best guess.

Im interested to see additional reviews of this piece. I posted my questions to GTSpec in the original thread which he gracefully answered, but quite frankly still have my doubts on their effectiveness. I want to believe that this will improve overall chassis rigidity, but that mounting point over the fender just keeps on raising red flags.

If it isn't too much trouble, would someone mind posting some closeup pictures of the body-to-brace contact/mounting points on the fender side from various angles (straight on, top view, etc)? I think this may help with mine and any other doubts.

I would however I failed to take close ups and I am to lazy to spend the 15min to take the fender off. I will however tell you that once tightened the brace is really on there and is not moving. There is not any undue over stress at the points over the fenders (i.e it doesn't look like you will bend the fender. As far as performance... IMO any time you can strengthened the rigidity of the car evenif its a little bit, its a win.

werd

Anyone know if/when the updated front tie brace (that will clear upgraded oil pans/spacers) will likely be released for sale?

Was on the phone yesterday with Intense Power. He IM'd the guys at GT Spec regarding an ETA for the revised lower front tie bar. They said end of February.

Thanks for the input! I don't want to beat a dead horse with this; they are nice looking pieces from a reputable company. I agree that these might be worth the slight bit of chassis rigidity, but unless I can be sure of their benefit they are just dead weight on my already too-portly Z. I think I will wait until the verdict is out to make my decision.
