Default TANABE FTL - kinda long

I bought a set of Tanabe PRO-FIVE'S and the TEAS controller for Z in September 07. The suspension cost $1400 & the TEAS box ran around $500. In November I damaged the right front coilover. After two weeks of having my vendor deal with Tanabe I decided to call them directly, only to find that they were giving my vendor the run around. I was told they would only deal with the customer directly. I then was told that it would cost $450 to replace the coilover. I paid this amount and even provided shipping from California to New York. I received the coilover a week from my conversations with their customer support. When I went tio install the coiulover the bushings were not included. After calling Tanabe AGAIN I was told they are not included . I had to wait another week as Tanabe in Japan was closed until this past Monday. When I called to find out the status of the bushings I was told I had to purchase BOTH FRONT UPPER PERCHES IN ORDER TO GET THE BUSHINNGS AT A COST OF $450!!!! THAT BRINGS THE GRAND TOTAL TO $850 FOR ONE COILOVER!!!!!
I am going to put these bastards on full blast alert!!!!! TANABE'S CUSTOMER SUPPORT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Works for me.. no doubt, I won't even look at Tanabe products anymore.

DUDE...I'M NOT UNHAPPY WITH THE PRODUCT, JUST THE A$$ RAPING THEY ARE GIVING ME FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS. The system is awesome, just don't break anything!!!!!

Tanabe wont get business from me ever after this...And Ill pass the word on....If they are going to azzrape there customers then we have no choice but to azzrape there ability to make money off of us by boycotting them....Email em this link so they know the word is out on them....Tanabe

Unfortunately, this is the price we pay for Japanese parts. They are not in the habit of selling each individual part separately. Yes, they could if they wanted to, but in the end it is too much hassle for them and in reality they already have your money from the original coilover purchase. Sorry that you had this issue.
