Default Stillen "track" Rotors pics

Here are a few pics of my new Stillen rotors. They are made for the stock Z and G35 Brembos. I like the color matching they did. Enjoy the pics

Very nice, I was looking at those, they are the DBA rotors out of Australia that Stillen is selling under their name.

Umm no, they're made by DBA as previously stated. I was at the DBA factory just the other night and noticed a palette marked to Stillen.

Why would they arrive in a Brake Pros box with Brake Pros paperwork, and Brake Pros Stickers ? Seems like a odd way for DBA to package their stuff

Because DBA don't market outside Australia. Instead they sell to a third party who then package and sell it as their own. Common practice in manufacturing.

See this link for the rotors.

So Stillen buys these from DBA direct. Then takes the time to package them as Brake Pros products. Then puts the Stillen name on it and sells it? Sounds like alot of work. ZEZC-33 are the rotors you got got for the Z ? If so thats a great price.

No, DBA packages them. I saw at least 3 other brand boxes at the factory as well. Surely you don't believe that everything you buy is made by the name on the box. One of my major clients is a manufacturer. They make products for Lever Rexxona, Colgate Palmolive, Avon, Revlon, 3M etc etc and package them in the brand name packaging.

You are right. I just made the assumption that because Brake Pros does mostly AP Racing distribution that they were made by AP. After talking with those guys they told me that the rotors are in fact manufactured by DBA.

It's probably stamped on the edge of the disc as well along with the manufacture date and other info.

As I said I was at the factory just the other night and was fairly impressed with the manufacturing and particularly the QC. They're a quality product and they do look good. Didn't occur to me the gold colour would match the Brembos.

As for price we're buying a local product. You're buying one that has to be shipped across the globe, the imported probably pays import taxes etc etc so you'd expect the price to be higher just as I pay a fortune to buy things from the US. FWIW I think ZEXC-33 did get an excellent price, I would have expected closer to AUD$600 for all 4.
