differnce in model year rear shocks

Default differnce in model year rear shocks

are there differnce in the z rear shock based on year or package? if so what are they or where can i find the information. all of the stickies were slim on info about them. im looking to purchase a set of rear 05+ rear z shocks but dont know if any others will work/are the same

In every year of production, no trim level has anything different in the suspension, shocks, springs or sway's. The 2007 and 2008 Nismo version's of course have their own unique suspension setup.

Where shocks differ:
2003-2004, stiffer then later years, defined by high level's of compression dampnings, but lacking in rebound.

2004.5-2005, less compression dampning and greater rebound control (part of a host of changes to the oem suspension known as the "revised suspension).

2006-2008, we only know that part numbers changed, unlike the revision mentioned above where Nissan was very public about what was changed and why, nothing has ever been said about how 06-08 shocks may or may not be different.

what is the replacement equivalent to the oem shock. most websites say that a kyb gr-2 is the oem shock for 04.5+ and truth? im looking for a set be cant seem to find any used so i am searching for new
