Default Buying Tanabe GF 210 Springs

Tanabe springs

I'm still broke and can't afford coilovers so i'm just going to get these springs. has anyone had problems with them sagging after a while? I see the specs on the site but i dont want it to drop lower than that. Also where is a good place that sells these cheap? Thanks

Many people on here have Tanabe’s so you should get a lot of feedback. Me personally, I have not heard anything negative about them. Look in the vendor section, they sell them for about $ 165 shipped. How much would it cost to install? What impact do they have on the stock shocks and would you consider matching the springs with other aftermarket shocks?

Thats a loaded question. Catch is, not all oem shocks are the same, nor are the oem spring rates the same in comparison. And aftermarket shocks have different properties in relation to trying to "match" spring to shock. You have removed 1.2" of suspension stroke and you'll be into the bumpstops much more often, which shock helps control that the best. D-specs in my mind would make the most sense, though a better spring choice would be even better. Eibach prokit has a simular drop and more spring stiffness to hopefully do a better job of keeping you off the bumpstops more often, though even that spring will still roll over and play dead into the bumpstops when the car is driven aggresively.

i got tanabe no problems, so far so good. got from Adam@z1auto

you might rethink about that, how much is ur budget?

if you go for tanabe, you might need to get Camber/toe

but if you get tein or hotchkis that gives you little drop, you might don't need cambers

( it's really depends on cars. i see some members has GF with out camber, no problem. some member has hotchkis, some how they needs a camber. so search more before you get them)

I was just going to post a similar Q so I hope I don't hijack this thread.

I too really want these springs. I was wondering about shocks - - has anyone used these on stock shocks, and then switched to Tokico HP (Blue)?
That shock is valved similar to stock, but with a stroke designed for lowered cars.
I was wondering how often people with these springs on stock shots hit the bump stops, and if they ride bouncy at all.
Wondering if the HP shocks are worth the investment as well, and how they change the ride.
Also, dumb Q - does the Z have foam bump stops stock, or do they come with springs? Or do they only come with high-end coilovers? I might look for some as well, as they are cheap and might make this easier...

^ I might just order those with the springs and go cheap-o and keep stock shocks.
