Default Hey everyone GF210 Lowering Springs on the z?

Drop: 1.0F/1.2R

Anyone have pics of what there drop looked like from stock to the drop. I am most likely going to do this drop since I have a huge wheel gap and my z looks like a monster truck.

Any suggestions what to do besides the springs to protect the life of the springs etc.

I think you can find them new for about $160 shipped. Definitely my favorite spring.
I actually plan on going with this route.

I was going to match with some Tokico shocks, but I am now going to just use stock shocks and GC foam bump stops... I live downtown so I can't strive for maximum performance. Oh well.
If/when stock shocks blow, I'll replace them with Tokicos. Until then... I'm going the cheap-o route.

Yep, exactly what I was thinking of.
If my stock shocks blow out, I'll get those.

Those HP Blue's are valved similar to stock and not adjustable, but the stroke is geared towards lowered cars. I think stock shocks run the risk of hitting bump stops - which is why I will get the GC foam bump stops with the springs. If this does not help or fix anything and the ride completely sucks, I will order the shocks and put them in before the alignment w/ rear camber kit.
But it might just be adequate and I'll save $300...

Better safe than sorry: get a rear kit.
You can find them for $160.

Springs: $180
Camber: $180
Shocks: $300
Labor: whatever...

Rear will likely need one... Front likely wont.

I've found springs and camber for $180 several places...

Megan Racing: $160 retail
http://meganracing.com/products/prod...=531&catid=123

SPC with Toe bolt: $190 shipped
https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....ght=gf210+sale

For Springs - the vendors say PM them. I have, and they are pretty cheap. But I wont post who and what price exactly. Just search "GF210 sale" and PM the vendors that come up.

* EDIT
Sorry do you mean I underestimated, or overpriced??

You should be able to do the F+R SPCs for $500 shipped from THMotorsports:
https://my350z.com/forum/suspension-415/

Figure GF210s for ~$180-$200 shipped, and the Tokico Blues for around $300 and you should have a very nice street setup that won't burn through tires for about $1000, plus alignment costs and install (if necessary). That's likely the route I'll take.

No need for a front kit on these springs. It wont hurt, but it's not as necessary as the rears.

The shocks are a good idea. I'm sure they'll last longer and feel better. But I'm going the cheap-o route for now with just springs and rear camber, but I will get GC foam bump stops in case the stock shocks reach max compression on spirited drives.

Different route. You will still need camber kit... So you are back to $1200. If the above post didn't get the front, he could do it all for $700.
I like the drop of the GF210, so I'm only losing stiffness adjustability for $500 saved - - but i could just get the D-Spec shocks for $200 or so more.

as Wyatt said you still will need to address camber issues, as the list I mentioned includes camber correction. Nevermind that you are comparing used parts to new; slightly more apples to apples, a set of used GF210s just sold for $50 in the FS forum. If you don't need adjustability and you don't track your Z, the list I mentioned is a comfortable and dependable lowered suspension setup for those on a budget.

Wyatt, I would do the SPC fronts just because you have everything apart anyway--nevermind the tire feathering issues at stock height, it's just preventive to get them when you are doing springs. New dampers are an obvious preventive purchase too; I know you have made it clear that you aren't going to buy them now and are only doing springs and rear arms, but I personally wouldn't install new springs without upgrading the dampers at the same time. I don't like to do the same job twice though
