Default tein basics

hey guys, im riding a 04 track z. and im purchasing wheels tmrw.

the sizes are 19" 8.5 / 10.5 +22. (my rears will be stuck with 275's)

and this weekend, i'm thinking about buying some coilovers. and would i be ok with tein basics?
i dont understand whats different about other coilovers exactly.

can the basics lower my car? adjust the ride stiffness? and help for tire rubbing?

thats what i just dont get, if the basics are able to do that, then what do the other coilovers besides the basics do?

Lower (adjust height) yes, adjust ride stiffness no,
As for tire rubbing you are gonna want to do a fender roll..

Basics are great coilovers for what they are. They only offer height adjustment but I found the ride to be perfect. If you want a minimal setup to correctly drop your car, the basics are perfect. If you want more adjustability in terms of dampening, rebound, shock travel etc. then there are more complex systems out there. If the aforementioned adjustments don't make sense, then you don't need them and the Basics will do just fine. That setup shouldn't rub at all, even with the Basics dropped to the max. limit.

imho basics are pos. I would get stance GR sport because it offers ride height and adjust stiffness. They should be same price im assuming?

i got mine for $700 for the stance because of wholesale price at a shop. The tein basics are around $800?

i would go with stance

I had a set of these "coilovers", and would never recommend them to anyone. As posted above, spend a few $$ more (not much) and get the Stance.
