Default Rear pads to match front pads?

So, I ordered Centric rotors for all 4 corners of my car and they came in yesterday. They look great. E-coated hat and edge, nice and beefy.

I also ordered Performance Friction pads. The description said "fits: 4 wheel disc brakes" so I assumed it was an 8 pc set. Silly me, the box came with 4 pads. I wrote to the store I bought them from to let them know their description sux, and to find out if they were front or rear pads. They wrote back that they are front pads. I checked the Performance Friction website and they are correct. The SKU# I bought are front pads, but PF doesn't even make a rear pad for the Z WTF!

My question is, will the pads I choose for the rear make a difference? If so, what would be a complimentary pads to the Performance Friction carbon metallic pads?

If you want a nice set of rear pads, look into the Centric PosiQuiet Semi Metallic. Good performance with low noise and dust, and available from whoever you got your Centric rotors from.

I was actually going to go for those all around, but I read great things about the Performance Friction pads and thought I would try those this time. I appreciate the feedback. I was just making sure that my brakes would not react funky having two different pads front/rear.

OK, I couldn't wait another week for the centric pads for the rear, so I went to my local independently owned auto parts store and got a set of Morse Elite pads for like $22.

After installing the 4 Centric e-coated rotors, Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads on the front, and the Morse Elite Semi-metallic on the rear.......NICE Feels like a new car again when I step on the brake. I need to bleed the system because the pedal is still a tad mushy, but it's too cold for me to do today....maybe over the weekend.
