I have an 07 GT, and I will be buying new tires soon. I will continue to run the stock wheels. I am looking for suggestions on tire sizes and brands. I track my car at HPDEs, and it is a daily driver. So, I am looking for something that will do a reasonable job at both. The stock REO50A's I think held up reasonably well (12,000 miles, 4 HPDEs, and 4 Autox). I probably will not continue to autox, so we can take that out of the equation.
The stock set is 19X265x35 (10" rim) and 18x245x40 (9" rim). Some have suggested I go to 19x295x30 and 18x275x35. I believe this keeps the dimesions about the same all the way around, but I am somewhat concenred about the 275s upfront in wet conditions.
Any ideas about sizes I should consider?
Also, in the 19x265x35 size, there are not many choices available. If I stay with this size, I will consider the REO50A again.
Any suggestion on brand and model of tires to tire? Must be available in 19s.
Thanks in advance for the help.

I was happy with 255/40/18s and 275/35/19s Bridgestone RE050A pole positions.
Others have gone wider without any problems. Also consider Michelin PS2s, Advan Sports, Goodyear F1-GSD3s.....

Ypu can also get some decent choices with a 285/35/19 and 255/40/18 setup. This should keep VDC happy and have little chance of rubbing even if you have lowered the car. I am actually happy with the RE050A's.
