Default Can you say Aragosta?

I was lucky enough to pick up a barely used set of Aragosta standard suspension (It only has 700miles on it). I'll write up a review once I receive it and install it. Meanwhile, enjoy the pics!

Wow, Aragostas. Are these still made or did they ever make production?

I remember reading about them years ago. They were supposed to be at the high end for the Z market, but didn't hear much about them after that.

The pricing isn't too bad. Splparts lists them at $2700 for the standard version and $2900 for custom valved. Similar in pricing to Zeals or Ohlins.

But the 3-ways are $5099

Yeah, they are about in line with Zeals and Ohlins.

I actually got to drive a Z with Aragosta suspension, and I was quite impressed.. Hence the reason for getting it for myself. I currently have Tein Flex.. Not impressed and so noisy...

http://www.tpl.co.jp/Aragosta/standard.aspx

616/336 and 112

If you do the math, those two rear springs equal a 605lbs spring run only in the oem rear location.

I am positive that the 336lbs spring is the progressive oem type spring and the 112lbs spring is on the rear dampner. I say this because of the wire diameter's of each spring that you can see in the pictures. If I'm wrong and it's the other way around, then the rear combined spring rate is equal to a 910lbs spring run in the oem location.

Two model's are listed on Topline's web site, both setup's have the same spring rates

Standard (part# 3AAA.ND.B1.000)
and
Comfort (part# 3AAA.ND.A1.R00)

SPL's web site lists the Standard model $2699, custom valved $2899 and a 3 way adjustable setup for $5099

http://www.splparts.com/main4/parts/...rs/default.htm
Go to the bottom of the page

They also warn you, "Built on order and imported from Japan. Special order 3-5 weeks"

FYI Ohlins does offer their PCV and DFV coilover for the Z

If you need them serviced or revalved in the U.S., how many places are authorized to do the work in this country?
