Default Eibach = practical?

I'm gona be keeping my car for about 4 years...... and im thinking of getting the Eibach springs to reduce the bouncy ride cuz its kinda uncomfortable and annoying..... but then again is it a pain in the *** for it to be lowere 1.5 inches and being careful for every bump... as if its not low enough already.... or are there any Eibachs that dont lower it as much..... is it better to just stick with the bumpy ride.... or get the springs and make it a smoother ride but gota be careful... and most likely scrape the bumper n shiet?.opinions plz.

Maybe it won't be so bad considering the Eibachs do not lower the car 1.5 inches. Try .8 in the front and 1.2 in the rear.

Everybody is getting slightly different drop heights but the most has been 1.25" in the rear. Mine only did 3/4"F & 5/8" R (measured after 500 miles). It may have settled a little more but it will get nowhere near 1.5".

Can't say if you're going to be hitting things. All depends what kind of bumps you're talking about and where you have to drive.

The ride & handling are greatly improved.

is there only one eibach kit for the Z? and does it mess up the alignment much. I don't want to eat up tires. I come from the old school of lowering at it always f'd up the camber and everything else for that matter. How hard are the springs to install?

Yes, the Pro set is it. They are easy to install if you are mechanically inclined. It increases the negative camber which at this time can't be adjusted enough to bring it back into spec. If you read more of these recent threads (or do a search under Eibach or camber) you'll find converations about camber adjustment rods for the rear.

Right now there is nothing for the front camber but the only solution seems to be an adjustable upper A-arm which people are developing.

Actually, I thought that company in Australia had a kit for the front as well that gives some adjustability.

I'm sure there will be several options eventually, though.

You are right but the two guys that bought it said it didn't fit right and the vendor agreed. They are now designing an A-arm.

Eibach claims 0.8" drop in front 1" drop in rear.. Mine settled a little.. It is low, when you compare two Z side by side.. When you are driving it, you HAVE to becareful and drive it like a drop car..

The plus side is it does get ride most if not all the bounceness, and also it looks awasome!

Oh, one major negative thing is it has more negative camber now for the rear, so I am planning to get a camber arm for the rear to try to correct it...

How much is a camber kit gonna cost and what exactly does it do, because I want to lower my car with eibachs but I dont want them to mess my car up either.

My input, since I always have some... ;-)

A) Totally worth it, ride is MUCH improved.

B) I was scared stiff about the drop. In normal Miami city driving, I have only scraped ONCE. This with stock 18" rims and tires (Touring).

C) I just ordered the camber arms ($220) from another thread to adjust the back into spec. Plus I think the arms look cool.

D) Note also I added the Y pipe, so maybe thats what scraped since it is a little wider.

The front scrapes on the parking lot cement block things, but that was a problem from day one...

I have not regret the EIbachs a single time/day.
