Thumbs up Stoptech Customer Service...AWESOME!

i had a really pleasant experience with Stoptech customer service (again), but thought i would actually post it up for others to see. it's really hard to find something like that in an actual manufacturer. it's hard enough to find shops that take the time to answer your questions and lead you in the right direction (like Z1), but to see a manufacturer do the same is astonishing!

i contacted them (by e-mail) about a bleed screw that may be faulty. not more than a day later, a rep contacted me and also forwarded my e-mail to the quality assurance manager, who then contacted the sales department to get me some new bleeders! this all happened in ONE day! a couple of days later, new bleeders arrived and they are still keeping in touch with me to make sure the problem went away. they asked for the faulty bleeder back so they could see what was going on with it.

i'm very happy with their customer service. it's too bad that service like this isn't more prominent in our industry. it seems everyone else just got complacent. anyway, just a rant about niceness ...

disclaimer - i don't work for stoptech nor Z1, so take what i say as my opinion.

I've had nothing but pleasant experiences with them as well. When I bought my front 13" BBK from ConceptZ one of the calipers had a wrong pad bracket that would not allow the brake pad to sit all the way in the caliper. Without hesitation they sent me a new caliper and told me to send in the faulty caliper after I've replaced it with the new one. They paid for all the shipping too. Of course I was intially upset that I got a defective product but that was all fixed very quickly.

I guess it's normal to hear more bad stories than good stories these days so this is a change.

...and that's exactly why i wanted to share the experience maybe there should be a sticky thread somewhere where people can share their experiences with customer service reps from shops and/or manufacturers.
