Default Tein Flex Coilovers

How are they compared to the factory suspension? Stiffer? Bouncy? Any noise when hitting a bump on road? How does it feel when you're behind the wheel? I would like to learn more about this setup as i am looking for a full coilover setup this summer

I have the tein mono flex w/edfc.

It's not too harsh at all. GT didn't even know the difference after I installed the setup. I dropped about an inch all around, not too bouncy either. Only complaint is that the dampening isn't really that noticeable when adjusting between levels 0-16.

There was a clanking sound when I initially installed the coilovers. Make sure and hit the top bolt with an impact gun before installing. Clanking sound went away after I tightened up the bolt and reinstalled the red circular (doughnut) that came with the factory setup.

I'd give the system a 7.5 out of 10, need wider range of adjustability. I do like how the edfc looks in the cubby though.

I've had the Teinflex w/ EDFC on my '04 Roadster (lowered about a half inch) for about 2 months now. They're great for highway and track, definitely stiffer than stock, but not too bouncy unless you set them on a soft setting where you'll get a lot of spring bounce.

If you don't want a setup that's much stiffer than stock, consider the Tein Comfort Sport - still very adjustable but softer spring rates - maybe better for daily driving (and EDFC compatible).

Great post. I've justed installed the coilovers flex and hear a bit of clicking noise in the back. Just need to try and tighten the bolt and put the red donut ring.

I just installed my Flex types on friday, and when I drive I heard clicking noises also. It almost sounds like I'm dropping dimes as I drive by. I think those washers on the damper rod that's making that sound. How did you fix that??
