Default Cleaning Calipers

Hey guys. I tried the search, but found nothing. I have an 08 and there is brown grease that is forming on the bottoms of my calipers. I wanted to know if there is a way to scrub that dirt off as I would like to keep them clean as much as possible.

Thanks in advance!

I didn't try soap and water, I did water. however, what kind of a spunge/brush should I use, I'd imagine it should be something on the hard side, like a wire brush??

Mix a solution of 50/50 Mr. Clean/water in a spray bottle. Spray. Let sit for 5 minutes. Scrub with brush.

When I wash my car I use a sponge for the exterior, then I use a small micro fiber towel for the wheels, wheel barrel, and calipers. I use to use on my OEM calipers too. It works pretty good. Now I understand the OEM calipers have an unpainted surface that is porous. If you are an extremely **** cleaning person like I am, you could probably use some type of soft bristled wire brush to deep clean them periodically. You can find little brushes like that in the detailing section at almost all autoparts stores.

Just and FYI when you go aftermarket calipers that are painted, the surface is smooth, so all you need is just soap and water with the mirco fiber towel.
