Default True Rear Coilover vs OEM Type

I have searched the boards and faqs and could not find the answer to my questions. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the true rear coilovers vs the oem type? also i want to get stance gr+pro coilovers and am wondering if i could get the true rear coilover with higher rear spring rates than 5k? if this has been covered please direct me to the info. thanks!

Before the following thread link, member "Resolute" has posted on the subject before.

Curious, what word(s) did you run a search under? I found the thread right away by searching "truecoilover" and narrowing the search to the suspension section.

On your question about higher rear spring rates for the true coilover version, do not do it. Here's why. When you math out how much spring actually reaches the wheel, it's called wheel rate. Take a look at the number's below, notice that 100% of the springs power reaches the rear wheel on a truecoilover setu in the rear.

Stance GR Pro+ with springs on rear dampner (true coilovers)
672/280 (wheel rates are 318/280

Stance GR Pro+ with springs in oem location
672/616 (wheel rates are 318/259)

i actually did search under "true coilover" but not as one word. thanks for the info! so from what i am understanding even though on the true rear coilover has a lower spring rate, it is almost equivalent as a oem type with a higher spring rate?
