Default Brake upgrade question...

At the moment I have an 06 with the non-Brembo set up *sigh*. I want something a bit more but don't know how much more I should go. I've looked into BBKs but am not sure I would take full advantage of it. Would something like a Stoptech Stage 2 upgrade work (drilled rotors, steel lines, performance pads, new fluid)? I've even looked into getting people's stock Brembos when they go to BBKs but they have almost been as much as BBKs themselves. I autox occasionally but not all the time. That would probably be the most stress I put on my brakes. I just want something better than what I have. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Get SS lines, better brake fluid and some good pads and you're set.

If you won't be tracking the car, the BBK is just for looks since it won't stop any better than the stock system.

The stage 2 kit would work but don't chnage the rotors if the current ones are still in good shape.

The best way to stop faster is to get better tires.

when you say you want a bit more...do you mean a bit more stopping power or a bit more in terms of looks?

for stopping power:
1) tires
2) pads
3) ss lines/fluid

Both actually but more stopping power would be the main goal. I am also looking into new rims and tires at the moment. I'm still trying to narrow that aspect down a bit so it will take me some time on the tires.

+1. Do an upgrade on the essential parts. The factory calipers are good for DD with upgraded rotors and lines and fluid..
