Based on what we know about Zeal, they know how to dial in their damping. And knowing their product line, it a comment based on looking at specs for a Zeal coilover system that someone custom ordered,.....with rather high custom spring rates. In any event, better valving, allow's you to run higher spring rates without giving the impression your on high rates. And you can bet Zeal does not undercontrol the spring as a method to deliver that.
Wheel rate = how much spring rate actually makes it to the wheel to perform work. Notice how 100% reaches the wheel in the rear on the true coilover setups listed below.
Zeal X with springs in the oem location
672/560 (wheel rates are 318/236
Zeal X with the springs on rear dampner (true coilover)
672/560 (wheel rates are 318/560
Zeal XS with springs in oem locatoin
560/448 (wheel rates are 265/189
Zeal XS with springs on rear dampner (true coilover)
560/448 (wheel rates are 265/448 {because rear lower mount is attached diirectly to the wheel hub})
Stance GR+ with springs on rear dampner (true coilovers)
672/280 (wheel rates are 318/280
Stance GR+ with springs in oem location
672/616 (wheel rates are 318/259)
Stance GR+ Pro with springs on rear dampner (true coilovers)
672/280 (wheel rates are 318/280
Stance GR+ Pro with springs in oem location
672/616 (wheel rates are 318/259)
