So i just installed my hawk hps pads, and i forgot to put the metal shims over the pads on one set of pads. The problem is, i also stripped my lug nut tool so i can't take off the wheel to put them on. Would there be any short term damage done if don't put the shims on for like 5 days? does it pose a big threat?

 

When I ran Hawk pads I did not recall even putting the metal shims on.
btw I have an 05 Z ,06 & up may differ.
