Where did you buy the rotors and brake lines?

I bought the powerslot rotors from tirerack.com & bought the SS lines on ebay from a great seller.

My Project Mu Inner Sports Shoes are being shipped on July 16. I received an email from ASC with my order being confirmed about the Brembos. Those rear calipers should be sent out in no time!

You made me jealous, so last night I ordered the calipers and also the rotors from ASC. Now I need to order SS lines today and decide how to get it all on my car.

What about the brackets to mount the calipers? Have you found a place to get them?

Are you trying to give me a heart attack?

But, seriously, I read the DIY thread and looked at all the pictures - https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-suspension-diy/266223-diy-for-stock-non-brembo-to-stock-brembo-brakes.html - and I don't see any extra brackets. Am I missing something?

Doesn't look like it. I must be confusing this swap with using an aftermarket caliper like Willwood, etc.. Looks fairly straight foreward, keep us posted.

Apparently, I will need new bolts for the rear calipers. I'm leaning toward bringing everything to a mechanic to install; would they have the bolts or do I need to seek them out on my own? If I need to buy them myself, where do I get them? Nissan?

Home Depot, Dealership, your mechanic, etc. should have these caliper bolts.

You need to get the rear caliper bolts from the dealer. I don't think you can commonly find them at your local hardware store.

Any hardware place will have them, if they don't, you can get them to order it. You just need to know the size.

EDIT: I stand corrected! You can get the STOCK bolts from any hardware store, but the BREMBO bolts have a very minor difference & they DO need to be ordered from the dealership!

Nissan part# 080412351a for the correct rear caliper bolts!

My dealer just checked & NOWHERE in Western canada has these in stock & they would need to special order them from Japan which will take a FEW WEEKS!

If I can't get them locally tomorrow, I'll order them from Courtesy. I got my Nismo floormats from them.

Courtesy Parts wants $67.00 for shipping the 4 bolts which cost $11.00! What a cheap place, trying to make money off of shipping charges.... I will no longer support those cheap bastards.....

Nice find. Do those calipers not come with Brembo decals?? Are they re-furbs?

Yep, refubished. And they don't come with stickers.

It's a good excuse to get them powdercoated a different color.

hmm, might have to do with them being in Texas and you in another country? last i checked shipping outside the US is always going to be more expensive than within the US itself. their shipping information page even says this as well.

I just checked and the shipping is $9.49 to my house in NJ. There must be a Nissan dealer in Canada who has them and is willing to ship parts.

Where did you get the part number, BTW? I just called the local dealer here and he doesn't show the same number. I'm going to stop there on the way home from work today to see what he has.

EDIT: It turns out that I read him the wrong number over the phone. The part number is correct. They don't have it in stock, but it will be ordered Monday and should be in on Wednesday.

Even with me in Canada, it shouldnt cost $67.00 shipping for 4 bolts. I've ordered things from the Eastern world that weighed more than 5 pounds & it was shipped for WAY less. There is NO WAY IN HELL the shipping should be that much.

Thats what you call a scam right there.

Oh well, I'll get them from somewhere else. Ill support terrorism over scammers anyday.... Bolts from the east it is!

Well, I phoned a ton of dealerships today. The ONLY dealer that has caliper bolts is in Quebec & they have exactly 4. They were special ordered by someone in May but they never came to pick them up! They are now mine & being shipped to me tomorrow!

Also, check out www.westcovinanissanparts.com

They also have these bolts for $2 a piece!
