NISMO suspension question
I have a 2008 350z, and was thinking about getting the nismo suspension. Just to keep the warranty. but how is it?
1. The sway bars say it increases stifness by 18% in front, and -1% in the rear. However this system was out pre 2004.5+. The 2006 and up z's have a new front sway bar that is 17% stiffer than the pre 04.5+ z's. so I am thinking that the if this is correct information if you have a newer z, the sway bars really will not make that much of a difference, 1% change in stiffness, is nothing, and not worth the price.
2. the shock and spring kit. NISMO states it creates a neutral handling, and it lowers the vehicle 20mm. I have searched the internet and forums, and cannot find any comparative pics of the NISMO suspension vs. the stock suspension. The only pics I have seen are the NISMO z's, and in all those pics the suspension actually looks like it sits higher than stock. I saw a NISMO z parked, and it looked higher than my stock z. What gives with the drop.
anyone with pics comparing the stock vs. a stock with NISMO suspension? some pics would be nice.
so if the sway bars are about the same stiffness, and there is no noticeable drop, in the vehicle. I was just considering some aftermarket shocks, Bilstein or KONI. I have used Bilstein before, and my cars improved greatly in handling.
Any information on the stock sway bar specs. and the NISMO suspension, would be greatly appreciated.

one thing to be clear on -- the Nismo Z is a very different animal than Nismo aftermarket parts.
The Nismo S-Tune suspension is a little overpriced, but I'm told you do get to keep the warranty with S-Tune parts, if the part is rated for your particular car. It drops you about .8 inches. I don't know if it is designed to work with 2008 models -- when I got mine a couple years ago it wasn't yet rated for roadsters, meaning technically no warranty coverage.

The sways make a huge difference imo. much less body roll.
i got the suspension when i got the car. Mainly went with it to get a little drop and not have to worry about camber issues.... that was the main selling point for me. (oh and being able to just add it to the financing of the car)
Looking back, i would prefer to have gone with a different set up with a more aggressive drop and got the camber arms, etc.
but it doesnt look bad at all. maybe a 2 finger gap between tire and fender.... i would say it dropped about 1/2 inch.

Waste of money, you can get much better parts for equal or cheaper prices.
