Default Spring install question

Would I have any serious problems if I installed my rear springs first then installed the front a couple days later? Just incase I run out of time/patience/sunlight after the rears (which I hear are easy). I know handling would be alittle differnent that one day or two, just wanna make sure I won't damage suspension. Going with S Techs or Pro Kit.

Shouldn't be a problem...but it only took me 3 hours to do mine alone...so the rear should be about an hour or a little less...

Same here, took about 3 hours to do the whole job. You should be able to get it done in a morning.

OK thanks for the replies. I was just worried about the front springs since the write ups I've read say they are considerably harder to change than the front.

just get a spring compressor for the front. take your time. if i remember correctly, the hard part about the fronts are trying to get the whole spring/strut/compressor assembly out since it is sort of a tight squeeze.

I just did my fronts and rears this weekend. I recommend that you start with the hardest part first (get it out of the way). Tighteneing the bolts on the spring compressor is a pain in the ***, but you'll manage. I tried to use my air tools, but the sockets were too big and too close to the spring. I was left with my muscle and a wrench!

Oh and I had to use the compressor to get my tanabe's back into the stock shock. Scratched them a little too!

The rears were a piece of cake. I used my foot to press down on the spring bucket in order to pull the spring out. Not sure if i damaged the inboard rubber bushing while doing this though...

Good luck, its not so bad!

George

OK thanks. I'm gonna give it a shot once I get my springs. BTW how long did it take you?

Unfortunately it took me 2 days because my mother-in-law came to visit while I was working on it. I had to stop and play host for a while...

"Real" work time was about 6 hours, but I was also installing an SPC front and rear kit.
