Question How low is low??

Hi Guys! I'd like to get new springs to my Z but I have a few questions for you. My Z is a daily driver and I'd like to have the looks and performance of a lower suspension without greatly comprising the COMFORT (I don't know if this is even possible). What do you suggest I go with? How low can a daily driver go? Can you show me pics of your ride height?

thanks!

i have the sportlines with 18's and its a pretty bumpy ride. you just have to stay aware of whats in the road ahead of you.

I'm in the same position, and I'm looking at Tein S-Tech springs... they're a very moderate drop (but good enough) and spring rates are very close to stock.

I daily drive my Z all around the S.F. Bay area. I installed my S Techs in april and since then i must say, I wish I went lower. But very good for the modest mild look. The roads here can be bad, but not impossible for an aware and alert driver. Ride is a little stiffer than stock, but that's a given. Overall, quality and clearance for daily driving is excellent.

swift springs are a much smoother rider compared to all the rest, but you wont have as an aggressive drop.

^^ i don't really know of any springs that will give you much of a drop. thats where coilovers come into play.

go on 350z - tech . com... I did most of the research for awhile, as I too, live in the valley... My Z is my daily driver, and I didn't want to compromise ride quality yet wanted a little drop to close the gap...

If you go past an inch, you are pretty much asking to get camber kits because you're past the .8" OEM standard for the Z's suspension... Coilovers are cool, but if you're not tracking your car, it didn't make much sense in getting them for daily purposes, as I've looked at coilovers from BCs to TEIN basics to JICs...

In general, I was tossing n turning in what to do for suspension... I ended up choosing the Tein S-Tech springs... especially considering with how screwed LA's roads are.. potholes and raised fwy joint connections... I didn't want to risk going too low and risking my underbody...

Coilovers, take the plunge, it's well worth it.

Save your money and get fully adjustable coilovers. That way you can adjust it without worrying if springs will go low enough and still have an OEM like ride. I'm running slammed here in Socal with a very smooth ride. I never scraped, just gotta be careful and always alert.

Swift Spec R by far are hands down the best springs in my opinion.
